Re: GS, GSA VS RT
Ive had 5 RTs ( going back to 1990 ) and 1 GS. IMG_20171008_165241265.jpg I prefer the RTs due to the more comfortable riding position (for me) and slightly better weather protection. Tried test riding a 1250 GSA before my current RT but just didn't feel right, too bulky and tall. On balance I could...

Re: Free Collection & Delivery
I suppose there is a danger that we could put the motorcycle industry out of business if we try and get every penny out of them.

Re: Duration of RT Ownership
Had mine for 5 years (and a bit) from new. 42k miles now but would have been more if not for Covid. Tend to change bikes at this age/mileage. At the moment there's nothing I want from BMW, been waiting for the 1300RT but no sign yet. Bikes becoming problematic with starting issues and needing a new ...

Remote Key not working
The remote key for my 2019 1250 is playing up, the batteries are only only lasting a week before they die. Ive got through quite few batteries in the last few weeks. Problem started when the key got wet and despite being left with the cover off hasn't improved. I'm going to guess a key from BMW is g...

Bought one of these, working perfectly with a long run time (use it to check/inflate the car tyres as well).

Re: What did you do today?
I’m allowed to drive / ride again from today but I still couldn’t head off in the rain  , I just hate the thought of getting the RT filthy as it’s such a pig to clean !. If I had a garage I’d definitely have a 2nd bike maybe an enduro of some kind for all year round fun. Glad to hear that you'...

Re: Wet Roads and Boots
So this morning i have bought myself a pair of Daytona Roadstar Pro GTX boots. I just hope they will fit as my normal boot size is 46 or 11 uk. But Daytona sizing chart has size 46 as a uk 11.5. I've found uk sizing to be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes I'm an 11 shoe size and other times need a 12. ...

An alternative way of staying dry with leaky gear. Takes up very little space in the panniers.
Comes in black as well.
