Re: Looking: How to mount a ZumoXT onto a '21 RT
David - yes, the SOS button and the higher brake fluid reservoir make for more congestion on the RHS, plus it's easier to use a finger on the screen with the non-throttle hand.

According to the FM, which I took the trouble to read for you:- Background: displayed if the radio is switched off: Empty: off, Logo: logo (RT), Speed ind.: digital speed. Use the Multi-Controller to configure the desired settings There doesn't appear to be a setting for the indicators, although the...

Re: Speedometer accuracy 2021 R1250RT
I'm guessing that you are in the US, where for some reason folk appear to be obsessed with speedometer accuracy. If you're not, please forgive me. Speedometer accuracy is governed by regulation. See for example http://www.fleetco.co.za/index.php/information/speedo-accuracy One of the main ...

Re: Using an iPhone with the radio
I had a 2019 model and as I recall if you want to get audio from an iPhone via the cable in the cubby hole you need the special BMW lead which has both USB and audio socket connector. The iPhone will not be treated as an audio device if you connect to the USB socket only - unlike, for exam...

Re: Speaker space
Assume you're asking about the 2021 model since you refer to LED heatsinks. There is a fairly large but irregularly shaped "hole" in the bottom/forward section of the speaker housing, so anything in there would need to be secured against falling out as well as water ingress. I su...

Re: 49L Top Box Install 2021 RT
There are some useful Youtube videos showing how to do it. You won't know if you need to order any wafers until you find out which ones are present in the current configuration and which ones you need for the new configuration. If you're lucky you won't need any. Mine o...

Re: 49L Top Box Install 2021 RT
It will have its own key - since you ordered it with the bike I guess it is possible. although I suspect unlikely, that someone will have keyed it to match the bike key. If it is different then it's easy enough to re-key the barrel to match yours. The central locking will work provided you...
