Re: Poll of Tyre Options - R 1200/1250 RT
Need to add the new Dunlop Roadsmart IV to the poll as I've moved on from the III. Such a great tire.

Re: Aarrgh, not another burned out headlight
This is just my personal experience, not a scientific fact!, but in the past when I have experienced a few blown bulbs, the battery has been on its last legs. I conjecture that the battery acts as a 'reservoir' or capacitor for ultra-brief voltage peaks and troughs. As a battery deteriorates, I thi...

Aarrgh, not another burned out headlight
That makes three burned out bulbs in 49k miles. And once again it happened in the middle of a trip. Now I get the pleasure of seeing the lit up yellow warning triangle and hieroglyph on the dash for the duration.

Not sure if Akra offers headers for the RT. I purchased slip-on thru my BMW dealer at time of purchase. On full song it makes cool WWII twin engine bomber noises.

Keep it in a box in the attic after installing an Akrapovic. ;D

Re: Tank Bag recommendations please
I've been very satisfied with the Hepco Becker Street Tourer M for my '16 RT. The magnetic mount holds steadfast but easily detaches come refueling time. It is also expandable.

Re: BMW Nav VI Problem - No Routes Found
Hi Maybe a "Master Reset" will do the trick? https://support.garmin.com/en-GB/?faq=5pkqQBOE9L4qzpvROpQ1R8&searchType=noProduct Thanks for this top tip. For whatever reason the unit has been functioning properly as of late and recognizing when a new route is loaded and ready for import...

Re: BMW Nav VI Problem - No Routes Found
Thanks for the suggestion to go back to a previous version. I didn't consider this to be an option as I've never heard it being offered. Has anyone here ever requested this and if so can tell me how was it handled.

Re: BMW Nav VI Problem - No Routes Found
I talked with Garmin support and they hadn't had anyone else report this problem. Today I tried out their suggestion of sending Basecamp tracks to the device and that worked pretty well though restarting the route midway thru my trip gave a direct route versus following the tract. I will continue to...

Re: BMW Nav VI Problem - No Routes Found
The auto import feature no longer prompts me for new routes. When I try to manually import a route a "No routes found" message is displayed. The GPX files are properly placed in the GPX device folder but the app doesn't recognize them.

Re: BMW Nav VI Problem - No Routes Found
Thanks for confirming the update is suppose to work. My workaround is to send a track to the Nav6 (using Basecamp) then convert the track to a trip. Frustrating.
