Re: FJR1300 V's R1200RT

All I can say is my wife says when I raise the screen its pretty quite for her, I looked at a FJR when I was moving on from my SV1000 into something more comfortable but still fun, wife thought the seating position was still to sporty on the FJR for her. Tho mine is older ( 2008 ) I love my RT after...

Homebrew GPS / Cell phone mount

As I seem to be adding more tech to my riding, I was looking for an option for mounting my GPS and phone. My present GPS mounting location was OK but it blocks 1/2 the speedo and required a look down to see and can be difficult at times. and since I added a Cardo to my helmet and XM radio to my phon...

2008 Windscreen question

Hi Gang I did some searching but there really wasn't an answer that I found. I'm 5'10" and ride the stock seat on the low position I am wondering for those who have changed how much benefit ( or negative ) I would get from changing the screen to something like the National Cycle VStream ( I hav...

Clearing my head , New ride :)

Testing out a new route I mapped thru Illinois - Great River Road near Peoria then past Starved Rock State park.
250 miles of fun.
My only issue is the RT is so comfortable and has such good range I don't stop much to take pictures.

Re: Considering Coming Over from S1000R - What to know?

My last bike was a Suzuki SV1000 and I can say the comfort is unreal 150-200 miles is a walk in the park, no longer sore after a 300 mile day. As for performance the RT ( mine is a 2008 ) feels as fast or in some ways faster than my old bike ( better roll on and high speed passing ) and these things...

Re: Top boxes

I was out in some strong winds a few weeks ago , just side bags and my bike does catch some wind as I would expect. when I ride with pillion she likes just the top case ( 49L ) when we can. when I commute I usually have a 3 bags ( suspension on rider + luggage normal ) the only thing I feel is a for...

Cardo SHO-1 should I ?

I know this is an older model system but I do really like how it fits on the helmet and it can be had for a really low price, in your opinion what am I missing out on going this route. I have never even listened to music before owning the RT at the moment I am just using wired earplugs to hear music...
