Re: DAB - poor signal
New finding - This fixes your DAB signal: There are 3 aerial connectors on the radio unit: leftmost is red, middle one is white, rightmost is black red is the FM aerial white is the DAB aerial black is I don't know what but if you unplug this black aerial the DAB radio bursts into life! I'm yet to f...

Re: DAB Radio antenna
I might try a cheep DAB/FM booster amplifier but I'm not sure which is the DAB antenna plug - red, white or black? I'm guessing one is FM, one is DAB and one is bluetooth? Any ideas? I thought I could just unplug them whilst listening to the radio and see which cuts the signal but FM is not affected...

Re: DAB Radio antenna
Sorry, I started another post about this subject having not found this one. DAB radio is really poor and is quiet half the time with the radio saying no signal. Only the BBC channels seem to work. I think the DAB antenna is under the tank so it's forward and high up but seems pretty rubbish. FM radi...

Re: DAB - poor signal
I think I saw a video from BMW when this model was released in 2021 that said the radio and DAB aerials are fastened across and underneath the tank. I'm not obstructing that area at all so I don't know why the DAB signal strength is so poor. Generally the only usable DAB channels are the ones from t...

Re: CarPlay Lite C5 Motorcycle GPS Wireless Carplay/Android review
I think all Senas are the same in this respect - only one device per BT profile. So Sena can connect to TFT using the handsfree profile but cannot then connect to a phone with a handsfree profile. It can simultaneously connect to one music player using the A2DP profile. At the same time it can conne...

Re: CarPlay Lite C5 Motorcycle GPS Wireless Carplay/Android review
I really like these units, I have one from a different Chinese manufacturer but think they're basically the same units. I'm using the Connected Ride app with the TFT on the R1250RT with audio system and Sena bluetooth headset. This works great for phonecalls, radio, streamed audio from the phone and...

DAB - poor signal
The DAB signal drops out repeatedly in areas where DAB works reliably in my car. Is the DAB aerial really poor on this bike?

Re: Confused About Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connections on the 1250 RT
I'm working my way through the issues - I have created a profile in "Tasker" to open the BMW app when the phone connects to the bike's bluetooth. So now at least I don't have to open the app and the phone connects to the TFT satnav without me having to intervene. The issue now is that ther...

Re: Sat Nav eject button sticking
If you loosen the two screws on the top of the cowling you can manipulate the cowling by pushing and pulling until the button pops out. Then tighten the screws back up with the cowling in this new "position".

Re: Confused About Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connections on the 1250 RT
Hi all, I just today acquired a 2023 R1250RT and I also foresee much frustration around this phone-based satnav. It does seem to work OK on the short journey I did today. It did disconnect once so I had to pull over to fix the connection. I saw that the phone was no longer on the BMW app because the...

Re: Smartphone Link
On an Android phone whenever you click on a mapping link (such as an address in your phonebook) the default is to open Google maps - but if you have another app installed that can deal with such a destination - like the Garmin Smart link app - the phone asks you which app you want to use ...

Re: Heated seat on an LC RT
I've looking into this more and tested the connector with a volt meter. The in-dash voltage guage is showing 14.3V with the engine running and the seat gets a bit warm - that's all. The voltage across the two connectors goes like this 0v - 1sec - 14v - 1sec - 4v - 1sec - 0v - 1sec - 14v ......etc Is...

Thanks, Kunkies. I'm about to nearly double its mileage with a trip in mid Summer to Dubrovnik. Can't wait!

Anyone used this Wunderlich handlebar bag
Will a Samsung S20+ fit in the window? My phone is 73mm x 160mm There appears to be a 20890-100 version and a 20890-200 version and they are advertised as having different window sizes with the newer version being smaller. Just wondered if an owner of one of these could say whether it woul...
