Re: Pops and bangs

Re: USB / phone mounting
Hi New here. Just got my hands on a 2013 ex police model. Can anyone point me towards a handlebar mount & usb power options? I’ve seen an eBay twin USB plug for the fairing socket at c. £30 ... or, should I get to the local BMW dealer? Any advice very welcome, cheers! D I have a 2006 and have j...

A good run out
Alright folks, just a wee ride report from Scotland. As we had some sun over the weekend I managed to get out on the bike. I was working on Saturday but I had Sunday free. I live in Lochgilphead in the West of Scotland, surrounded with some of the best biking roads in the west. I left Lochgilphead a...

Re: Converting an RTP for 2up
I own a 2006 RTP ex Strathclyde Police in Scotland. It wasn't converted by me but it was the previous owner, he said as much as he enjoyed converting it, he wouldn't do another conversion. My bike has the full bmw luggage not the police issue small cases. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220318/43...

Re: Homebrew GPS / Cell phone mount
Thats a great looking mount, I have a 2006 model and finding it hard to get a mount that I like. Just a question, on your first picture is that 1 piece that has been bent into shape or is it welded? Looking to make something but it will be with basic tools though. Well done again thanks Paul Sent fr...

Spot lights
Hello folks looking for some help, when I bought my RT it came with spot lights. I think they are just a cheap set from ebay or something. They look good and give a good beam, my problem is the push button switch. Press once low beam, press again off, press again high beam then off and the 3rd time ...

Should this be a warning?
Hi folks I have been looking at a bike that I like. Its a 2007 1200RT with 46000 on the clock. Looking at its last Mot it has an advisory that the brake warning light was on during test but no fault found. Could this be the start of the ABS problem? Is it this model that gets the abs faults? Many th...

What to look out for?
Hello, I am looking at lots of RT's, is there anything that I should be looking out for? Max budget is going to be about £4000. Lots about in that range, lots of ex Police bikes. Cheers Paul

New member and getting back into riding
Hello folks, looking to get back into riding after a few years away from it. I have had my eye on an RT for years but always thought it was a grown up bike, now time has moved on and I think its time. I am based in the west of Scotland with some great roads around me, new member too, cheers Paul
