Re: Help! Cannot unlock seat on 2018 1200RT.
Here is a top view of the seat and looking at it there is a a guard to stop you opening it from the top [attach=1] But if you go in from the side under the seat with a long screwdriver or something you may be able to push the catch back [attach=2] I had to go in from the top instead of the side but...

Help! Cannot unlock seat on 2018 1200RT.
I recently purchased a used rear seat for my bike and I installed it without realizing that the lock cylinder on it would be different and not match my current key. Now I cannot remove the seat. Is there any alternative release to remove the seat or am I stuck like this?

Looking for a set of R1200RTP police front engine crash bars (2014-2018)
Looking for anyone who has a police 1200RT in the 2014-2018 range who wants to sell their police style front crash bars. BMW charges an arm and a leg for a new set so I'm looking for someone who has a set looking to sell for reasonable price.

Re: Anyone have experience with retrofitting a police rtp radio box on a regular RT
Rear rack and grab handles are removed. There is a special plate that screws to the back of the bike. No rear seat, but a short bolster type cushion that fits behind riders seat. The radio hump then hinges onto the plate. If you go to Real OEM, think all the RTp bits are shown there. Yea I have a s...

Anyone have experience with retrofitting a police rtp radio box on a regular RT
Note: This whole post is regarding the 2014+ generation of RT Im looking to expand the luggage capacity of my 2018 RT just a bit but I personally hate the look of the traditional trunks available for the RT. However, Ive been looking at the radio box/trunks from the police line of RTs and I really l...

Re: How to switch off low beam headlight on US bike
I have personally looked into doing this and I assume the process would be swapping your left hand control assembly and reprogramming the ecu to now recognize the extra button for turning on and off the low beams, or switching your bike into some sort of EU mode. I have not seen anyone on this forum...
