SOLD - Givi XS307 Tankbag for sale for R1200RT including locking ring

Finally I have a Givi XS307 tank bag for sale, with the Givi locking ring system. Works really well for refuelling, easy to pop the bag off. The bag has seen some use but otherwise is in good order. I've included the 4 screws supplied with the locking ring kit. Good little day bag, that expands to 1...

Pannier bags for sale for R1200RT BMW panniers

Next up I have these clean and good condition pannier bags that fitted in my 2018 RT original BMW panniers. Aftermarket items that do the job saving you lugging hard cases in and out of guest houses. They have a zipped side compartment each, and the main compartment expands by about 2 or 3 inches al...

SOLD - Garmin Zumo XT satnav for sale with 3D adapter included

Hi, I've sold my RT so have some items for sale. First up, a barely used condition Garmin Zumo XT, boxed with mounting and power adapters and original manuals. Also included is the 3D aftermaket adapter so it slots straight into the R1200RT mounting plate (and possibly R1250RT, not sure) - one of th...

Re: Zumo entry point takes me round the block and home again

This is a good idea except I was in a strange town in the tiny back streets so I needed the route to the main road, and then a heading in the right direction.

I have more trips planned in the next few days so I'll see how I get on
Thanks

Re: Zumo entry point takes me round the block and home again

Haha I realised I could have done this just now on my way back from Ambleside. Funny how the mind works away when you've only got the road and a few sheep to think about

Zumo entry point takes me round the block and home again

I created a trip using MRA from my hotel in Keswick up around Kirkstone Pass then back again. But whether I choose the start point or closest entry point the Zumo just wants me to drive 20 yards then I've reached my destination. The route has three waypoints, start, Kirkstone Inn, end (same as start...

Great tip, thanks MikeS

Thanks, that looks really great and will probably answer a lot of my questions! I've ordered a copy

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm autistic and thus tend to be a bit too details-focused sometimes, but I'm definitely using this first trip as a learning exercise so I will understand myself and my bike better for future trips.

I'm a novice tourer - what are your trip planning tips for distance/stopovers?

I'm contemplating a solo trip to ride around Scotland for a week or so next month (June). I've never really toured before other than a few days in Ireland stopping over with friends. I'll be travelling alone so don't really need to consider anyone else's needs. What are your thoughts on distance / ...
