Re: Why the BMW RT
Why: I told myself I could buy a nice bike as a reward for quitting smoking. Hell the monthly payment is much lower than the smokes. Replaced: Honda ST 1300 (or I believe it's a Pan America in Europe). That was a GREAT bike. I halve had 2 over the years. Rode them to 40 states in the US. I'm sad Hon...

Re: Engine guards
+1 for Wonderlich. They look great. Follow the contours of the bike nicely. I've also had a tip over and they did their job well. The scratch on the bar is barely noticable...you can only really see it if you get your head down close to it. Well made piece of kit.

Re: Windscreen
+1 for the power bronze. It's a game changer for air flow. I keep it on for the warmer months and switch back to stock when it gets cooler.

Re: Heightened seat & lowered pegs experiences?
I'm also 6'2". I have a Russell Day Long, which I believe raises the seat height about an inch. That was a nice change. I used it as an opportunity to put the seat into the low position (it had been on high), so it was essentially the same height as stock seat on high. Then I also added the Won...

Re: ACC
I like it, but rarely use it. But I rarely used normal cruise on other bikes Ive had. It works very well 99.9% of the time. But you have to be careful. Ive had it stop recognizing my riding buddy once and it almost accelerated right into him. Ive also had it disengage suddenly before, presumably bec...

Re: SW update for GS/GSA/RTP on my '20 R1250RT
In light of the stop sale order that came out yesterday, I'm wondering if the software update described above actually had to do with emissions.

Re: Video : XM and AM Antenna Issue '23 RT
Same problem here! 22 RT. Dealer confirmed the issue. BMW told me to go talk to XM. Very unhappy with that response. I didn't buy the antenna from XM, I bought it from BMW and they should stand by it!
Strangely l, I've noticed the radio seems to cut out less when the windshield is down.

Re: Wanted - OEM passenger seat 2022 RT
Surely one of you fine people has a passenger seat you'd sell? I'd even be willing to return it to you if you wanted. Should only need it for a few weeks. Please ping me if you do. Many thanks.

Re: 2023 Active Cruise Control Question
I wonder if the same applies to a bike on bike system. Can confirm. Was riding with a buddy the other day and the radar lost sight of him somehow and the bike started accelerating right toward him. I was on my 22 RT and he was on a 900 street scrambler. It was a bit unnerving and now I pay much clo...

Wanted - OEM passenger seat 2022 RT
Hi everyone. I'm going to have a Russell Daylong made. I'm trying to get my hands on an OEM passenger seat so I can keep the bike on the road while seats are being made. My bike is a 2022.
Please let me know if you have one you'd be willing to part with.
Cheers
