Front left storage compartment. 2020 R1250RT

I’m unable to open the front left storage compartment. Should the key slot be in line with the wheels, or at 90 degrees to them?
Mine could be seized through lack of use but I don’t want to force and sprain anything.

Re: Fuel sensor

Youtube has a couple of vids about a fix using a job lighter. I had problems with the fuel sensor on my 2009. The original design is crap and will let you down. There is a much better now which had fitted. No more problems after that.

Sent messages still in outbox

I’m still unfamiliar with this system. I’ve sent a couple of messages, but they still appear to be in my outbox and not in the “sent” folder. What could I be doing wrong?

Hi, if I post a new topic for discussion, do I get an email to my normal email account when another user posts a reply to it?

Re: Multi Bike Insurance UK

Some amazing prices for bike insurance stated here. I have a theft claim from 2021 that boosts my premiums I’m sure, but a multibike with Bemoto at around £400

Re: Darn Fuel strip

I was told that the strip had been replaced with a new design, but that availability was poor due to demand. This was back in October. I’ll be trying again in a couple of months to see if I can get mine booked in. It’ll be another painful £200, but necessary for the peace of mind of having a working...

Re: Fuel gauge strip

apparently there is now a OEM fix for this. Difficult to get hold of due to demand and won’t be a FOC replacement. It’s on back order, I’ve asked my local BMW workshop to let me know when it becomes available. I might try the piezo zapping technique but I’d feel more reassured with a pukka replaceme...
