Re: Hill start control

I heavy squeeze when already stopped will do the trick, but TBH, you may have to be on an incline for it to register, it's great in most circumstances, but tonight I was stopped on a il and wanted to roll back to park - uh-uh, the bugger kept re engaging

Re: central locking

There is a small button on the right had bar for central locking, I think it's next to the MODE button ;) Personally, I always use the central locking, if they are breaking into the bike and the CL is not stopping them, then I don't think anything else will, it's just a screwdriver job anyway

Re: iPhone 16 Pro MAX in cubby?

I currently have the iPhone 14 pro max also, and as you know, it "just" fits in, it's only a couple of mm difference, but to my mind it would probably be too tight or mark your phone getting it in out - but you could always remove the small plastic bit for keeping it tight as yours would b...

Which OEM units do you speak of? I do know they need a controller to make use of the canbus system, just intrigued whether I sell or keep.

Re: Spots

Not sure on the make, but anything you add into a can bus loop needs to register with the system or it throws up an error or just doesn't work

So you need to add an aftermarket set up to allow for the extra items, although you could probably replace the OEM units with those?

Re: Two day owner grumbles and gripes

I would say the steering lock is a safety feature just in case you haven't turned it steering fully to the left I'm not sure if you can change the settings to have the bike set the alarm automatically you might want to check the settings My alarm sets automatically, it's in the set up somewhere, bu...

Re: RPM Manageme t

My usual is 2.5 to 5k rpm, in the UK your doing over 80mph at that in top if I remember correctly, and I just don't see the point in revving an engine for revving it's sake? Above 3k and there will always be power on tap for touring or pottering about, if you want to go faster then fair play, that's...

Re: General Advice Please

Welcome to the forum, sadly the RT is not a cheap bike, so with your budget your going to be driven more by what you can get than what you should be looking for unfortunately  Just check all the consumable parts like tires, brake pipes, seals and especially the drive shaft for potential replac...

Re: Bar Risers

What have bar risers on other bikes got to do with this situation? I have risers on other bikes and they are fine. On this bike in this situation they are not. The hose is about a foot long and there is no slack. I guess if you have a cut in your tyre on the left hand side you weigh up how o...

Re: Wethead RT resistance to overheating??

Aftermarket additional fans are available for not a lot of money, perhaps worth considering for peace of mind as it's a small cost compared to the bike it's self?

Re: Bar Risers

How often is the bike on full left lock? I've had lots of risers over the years, and TBH, I've never heard of a single incident being attributed to them pulling a cable  Go with your gut, if your concerned then it's an issue, perhaps see if the cables can be drawn through just a half inch from...

I'm pretty sure it's the law to have daytime running lights active after a certain age of bike, it certainly is in the UK

Re: 10.25 TFT Split Screen Zoom

Yes, you can, it's a bit of a pain, but you can do it through navigation and then go to split screen and it remembers, (for that ride) but I don't think you can change it while in that screen, you have to go back to the main nav screen for that - and I'm sure if you have it set on auto zoom it messe...
