I dont need a diagnostic now as I have determined the ecu was faulty and replaced it with one from another bike. I now have a perfectly useable bike. My understanding is that diagnostic software would now only allow sync of odometer reading to higher value of ecu or display. With the replacement ecu...

Found to be BMS-K (ECU) failure. Replaced with secondhand BMS-K.
Now to decide if I bother to send away to have ecu files transferred to stop odometer flashing, caused by different mileage in ecu than display.

No alarm unit fitted. I shall try and get a diagnostic to read fault codes.
