R1200RT - Dangling electrical wire?

2016 R1200RT. I found this electrical component hanging in the fairing, near the front forks, above the front fender. Does anyone recognize it, what it does, or proper placement? Image attached. Thanks in advance.

Re: Bluetooth earbuds linked to audio system

Agree. I'd really like to use the stock radio and controls though. Oddly, I got a pair of non-Apple earbuds to pair with the stock audio. Only one ear bud had sound and the quality was terrible. I think I will explore tapping into the speaker wiring and install a bluetooth transmitter.

Re: Bluetooth earbuds linked to audio system

I realize it is a 6-year-old post but I just got my '16 1200RT. Would like to connect blue tooth earbuds to the bikes FM radio and avoid disturbing others with the bike's external speakers. Cannot get my apple airpods to connect to the bike or Nav5 bluetooth. Do I need special gear or am I on a fool...

Always wanted one...

Sold my '17 Ducati Multi 1200S. Bought a '16 R1200RT. Surprised that the RT is better than the Multi in terms of comfort, handling, and performance (under 5K RPM). Also, no chain maintenance and I trust the RT reliability more than the Duc.
