Rear ended - brake/running lights malfunction
Hi all - I was struck from the rear at a roundabout the other day. I kept the bike upright and car that hit me did not stop. Looked okay initially but then noticed crack in taillight assembly. The turn signals still work but the brake and running taillight do not. Do I need to replace the entire tai...

If by "panel lugs" you mean the two little plastic tabs that hold the top fairings in place and fit into little slots, Clearwater lights makes self-adhesive metal replacements you may want to check out. https://www.clearwaterlights.com/products/side-panel-repair-kit-for-bmw-r1200rt-water-c...

Re: Aftermarkey Tank Bag for 2015 R1200RT
Hello - I have the GivI Tanklock system and a locking tank bag. Installation is simple - remove 4 screws, put tanklock plates in place, install 4 slightly longer screws. Only issue I ever had was by overtightening the screws, the electronic gas cap did not want to open so I had to loosed the screws ...

Re: Low Heated Seat for R1250RT
Hello - I am interested in the low heated r1200rt seat if you still have it. I am in the US but am storing a 2104 RT at a friend's house in France so I imagine it may be easier to ship within Europe. Let me know if available and cost. thanks

Re: Crash Bars
For those who have the Heed front bars, are there concerns about scraping them before scraping the pegs? I have a set I ordered but haven't installed them because I occasionally will scrape a peg (which obviously flexes up) but don't ever want to be scraping the crash guard which doesn't flex. Thanks

I-phone google maps vs Nav VI
Hello all. I have always been happy using my I-phone with google maps on my K1200GT. My recently purchased 2018 RT came with the Nav VI unit. What are the advantages, if any, to using the Nav VI rather than my I-phone and google maps (which lets me pin drop a route). Thanks for your input.

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT
I have Pirelli Angel GT-A on my 2018 RT and have gone through two sets on my K1200GT before getting the RT. I have always felt they track and grip well and I sometimes push the tires pretty hard. I am much less concerned with miles from a tire than how secure the tire feels and probably replace them...

Thanks - I have a set I got a few weeks ago but haven’t had a chance to install them yet. Without the pipe problem, how long would you estimate it too to install them?
