Sadly, not likely at the moment. That could conceivably change, but I won't know till towards the end of next week, so will be a last minute thing if I can make it. Interested to hear location and timing which doesn't seem to have materialised yet.

Re: August Meet

Well that's just typical  Just found out that the event I thought was booked for the following weekend is actually on the 17th. Can't get out of it so sadly I'm out this time around.

Re: August Meet

Being a relative newbie on the forum, I'd welcome the opportunity to put faces to a few names. I'm pretty much always looking for an excuse for a decent rideout. Even better than that, the 17/18th is the only spare weekend I have till about October. Just my opinion, but I would have thought a motorc...

Re: Replacement front discs for twincam

Thanks for the replies chaps, most helpful. The bike's due it's MOT in a couple of weeks, and this is the only thing that is any kind of concern. I've been picked up before on the same issue with my previous bike - 1100RT - and got an advisory for "excessive rotational play". It really doe...

Re: Replacement front discs for twincam

The Disc Doctor, https://www.thediscdoctor.co.uk/Bobbins.htm may be able to help. "We offer a full range of replacement Disc Bobbins, CNC Machined in a wide range of sizes to fit all bikes. Also Oversized Bobbins to remove excessive play in worn Discs." That's interesting David, thank you...

Re: Replacement front discs for twincam

How many miles have you done on the existing discs MarkW? I'm sure you know that they are supposed to 'float' slightly. I have a 2012, but I don't hear mine knocking. The bike has done just over 60k. I'm aware of the floating nature on these, having come from many years on an r1100rt, and I'm not a...

Replacement front discs for twincam

Has anyone got any experience with Galfer replacement discs? Have been thinking for a while now about changing out my originals to cure the annoying rattle from particularly the right side. There's no cause for concern with regard to disc thickness, but the non-replaceable bobbins have for some time...

Re: Max weight capacity for the RT1250

In your position (and at 91Kg with a no longer svelt better half, I am) the first thing I did was leave the topbox at home. The damn thing weighs about 12Kg empty, Instead we use a 40 or 60l (depending onn length of trip) waterproof holdall like this from Lomo https://www.lomo.co.uk/products/40l-dry...

I have read that a poorly charged battery can interrupt the programming on the ZFE and means the calibration can fails and that the sensor settings can be lost.
True - which is why it's advisable to perform the function with the engine running.

Re: 2007 R1200RT ESA: settings can be changed but suspension not moving

Are you sure. When testing my ESA am sure the front moved as same as the rear Absolutely sure. There is no mechanism (ZFE) for altering the preload on ESA1 or ESA2 front units, only damping adjustment - comfort/normal/sport - which is taken care of by the stepper motor in the lower part of the unit.

You can't calibrate the front shock because there is no preload adjustment on that unit.

Re: ESA stuck on sport mode?

I had this exact problem on my RT, also 2012 model. It makes them horrible to ride doesn't it? - to the extent that I thought I'd made a horrible mistake moving from an R1100 which was like butter. There is a small stepper motor in the lower end of the shock which operates a needle valve to alter da...
