Re: R1250RT rider seat tilted forward

I can only assume "Yes Totaled TL. You got it. Great job!" was a sarcastic resp. that serves no one. "The plastic "rod" is serving for locking the seat in upper position." contradicts what you last stated, " ... it makes no difference, as long as the seat is locked...

It would be helpful to post the yr./model of your bike; someone will know.

Re: R1250RT rider seat tilted forward

No. As stated, seat does not latch properly & is loose when attempting to use the plastic portion.
Can you cite a passage in the manual that supports what you believe to be 2 positions for the rear of the seat?

Re: Hill start control

Hi You can use the front or rear brake lever to apply and disengage this but you need to pull the brake lever hard to the bars or press hard on the rear. You feel a click and the Hill start brake assist is applied same again to manually disengage the bike must be running with the side stand up. Che...

Actually, metal rod is serving for locking in lower position. Please see picture 5.
You mean the only position; there is only one metal rod.

Re: R1250RT rider seat tilted forward

I do not believe there is a lower & upper position for the rear of the seat. There is only one metal rod. If I try to use the plastic 'lower' setting as you suggest, the seat does not lock correctly & is loose.

Re: RT Settings Need to be Reset Everyday ???

Yes. Sometimes the radio turned itself ON after an ign. cycle even if I had it OFF prior to shutdn. The radio vol. would start at approx. half scale. The eq. & vol. settings would often reset to 0.
Dealer updated SW to ver. 14_12_21 in June & so far these issues have been resolved.

Re: BMW Connected App is shrinking the maps..

I'm just back from Spain/Portugal, 3000 miles and my sat nave only lost the signal once in the mountains, and never dropped out or shrunk in size. I've got an Apple iPhone 14 pro max, which just fits in the compartment without a case, I notice that most of the posts above, are for android phones, a...

Re: What don't you like

Geared too tall, mainly 1st gear. Transmission clunks loudly going into first. Nav setup w/ phone leaves a lot to be desired. Better off with an alternative. XM radio had very poor reception prior to self install of another ant. Radio switches itself back ON after ignition cycle even if it was turne...
