Re: Best oil for your bike
Looking at this video reminded me of the following. As per the BMW Rider's Manual, the engine oil spec. is API SF / ACEA A2, or better, with various viscosity ranges based on the ambient temperature. No mention of JASO MA or MA2 for wet clutches. The 2012 Camhead has a car like dry clutch. The BMW ...

Re: Portugal on a rental
Did that a few years ago on me GSX1250, nice roads round there. https://i.postimg.cc/dVtTBz0B/20191227-115502.jpg Sorry to disapoint you but thats not the westernmost point. That's cape Saint Vincent lighthouse (Farol do Cabo de São Vicente) in Sagres, southwesternmost point of Europe.

Re: Portugal on a rental
Well, I'm a bit late now, but I'm from Lisbon, Portugal.
Next time let me know you're coming (drop pm) and I'm glad to show you some nice roads, good restaurants, and places like Serra da Arrábida, Sintra or Cabo da Roca, the most westernmost point of Europe.

Re: Not Starting - No Pre-Ride Diagnostics Check
I can try that, but what about all the missing lights and the missing pre ride check in the upper display? Yeap like I said, check your kill switch for malfunction. Re: Not Starting - No Pre-Ride Diagnostics Check
I think the pre-ride check only happens if the kill switch is on. But I'll check on mine and let you know.

Re: Tankbag trouble
@Jeffem
I have a EA144B tank bag on my 2010 RT and it doesn't touch the switch-gear on the handlebars.
I realy like it.

Re: CarPlay screen
I thought of buying a C5 for my bike instead of a dedicated satnav, but I keep thinking about battery life on my iphone.
Do you know if connected to c5 carplay, the navigation part of the carplay doesn't drain you phone battery in no time?

Re: RT will not Idle
Since you synched the throttle bodies, check live data (motoscan or GS911) to see if on idle the TPS are at 0º, the ICV only work if the TPS e at 0º.

Re: ESA Problem
Strange problem with ESA, 2005 model k26 , supposedly this year shouldnt have ESA, just manual rear shock. Well mine has electronic shock which when removed and connected to battery it works. However using switch nothing at all happens. Nothing on display and no adjustment. A bmw mechanic looked at...

ESA 1 vs ESA 2
I have a 2010 RT, and as far as my knowledge can see, a have a ESA 2 rear shock and ESA 1 front shock.
My front shock is rusty and not working properly, can I buy a second hand ESA 2 front shock to upgrade it or do I have to replace it with an exact same part number?

Hi to all.
My name is Francisco and I'm from Portugal.

I bought a 2010 RT last September and so far i'm very pleased.
Best Regards.
