Re: R1300RT Prototype

Looks like you’ve taken my post the wrong way, don’t think I said bmw suck. I happen to very much like my 1250RT, I’m saying not everyone weighs 60 to 80kg and it’d be useful to have more weight carrying capacity in newer models. No, I wasn't directing it at you. Just some opinions of the reactions...

Re: Conversion of BMW R1200 RTP to two seater

Interesting. Nice job. Generally I think people avoid this due to the cost of the parts required. I saw a kit at a US dealer that was in the thousands. That allowed use of the car seat and also accommodated the standard side cases. I like the small police cases. Although they are too small for trips...

Re: R1300RT Prototype

I think more emphasis on max weight carrying capability is due, I mean not everyone is svelte with a 32” waist or a size 8!. It would be great if the new model could carry 200kg plus of rider/pillion and still be able to take some luggage !. People want very different things from the next model. Sa...

Re: R1300RT Prototype

That is exactly what everyone said about the 2005 1200RT when it replaced the curvaceous 1150RT. I lost count of the number of times that "fugly" was used -especially by the Americans who seem to have invented the "word" (a very good reason why we Brits should avoid using it) Ne...

Re: R1300RT Prototype

I cant remember the last time BMW released a new bike where the BMW riders didnt whine and cry about how ugly it was.

Pretty much every generation of GS was met with insults. Just laughable.
They still manage to sell all of them.

It will probably look worse if the new GS adventure is anything to go by
Ha ha. The BMW rider's inclination is always negative and critical.

WTT: high/comfort heated BMW seat

I'm looking for a high/comfort heated BMW seat that would fit a 2018 RT. I would trade for my standard oem BMW heated seat.

My apologies. Mine is actually a standard seat. I guess I am looking for a high heated seat.

I prefer factory GPS system,s, especially the bike data that you can get from a BMW Nav. I have looked through the pa...

Re: Steering/fall in/ counter steering (new owner)

I had the tires replaced today with Dunlop Roadsmart 4s. I take back what I said about the handling. It's not great. Not that much different than the GS. Obviously there are differences with wheel size and the bars. GS bars feel freer moving and the width has something to do with that. But the RT ha...
