Is my final drive going bad?
I picked up my 2007 R1200RT a month ago with about 31k miles on it. When buying it I checked out the final drive but turning the rear wheel slowly in neutral and felt no tough spots. I torqued it top to bottom and side to side and felt no wobble. When I first got to riding I perceived some road nois...

Muffler clamp question
I can't quite tell without removing it, is the muffler clamp simply a clamp or does it retain bands on the muffler and the intermediate pipe to hold them together? Reason for asking is that I was trying to change my final drive fluid yesterday and found that the fastener on the muffler clamp (bike i...

I wondered if that might be an option. I haven't looked at how the base attaches but I will take a look. Thank you.

Re: 2014 R1200RTP Clutch Replacement
Can confirm that police tend to ride the clutches all the time for low speed maneuvering and slow riding in parades and such. According to some guys that I know that do that work, about 10-15k miles is all they usually get, that's even with the wet clutches on the water cooled bikes. I'd just spring...

Re: New member
While I'm introducing myself, maybe I can get my first NOOB question out of the way. Are there any aftermarket tank bags that use the BMW attachment system? I really like this system but the OEM BMW tank bag is just kind of OK in my opinion. I get the advantages but it lacks in only having one compa...

Help with a part number: headlight spring clip
The spring clip that holds the headlight bulbs in on the r1200rt is not in the "headlight" parts diagram not any other that I can find looking through Max BMW. Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
I apparently pushed it a way it didn't want to go and it snapped right off.
