I found a guy selling a BMW Navigator V locally. I'm new to GPS units; is there anything I should be aware of to look for? Any way to determine if it's stolen?

Determine if GPS is stolen?
Re: Determine if GPS is stolen?
When they are registered new with Garmin they ask for an Email address. Ask him what it is. You could then I suppose contact Garmin and ask them to confirm that if you also get its serial number.

Good thinking RTman10 when you consider the price of the Nav V and it is stolen some poor dude is out of pocket. Not to mention some scroat picking up several hundred quid.RTman10 wrote: When they are registered new with Garmin they ask for an Email address. Ask him what it is. That's why I don't want to buy a GPS that's possibly stolen
