Ordered a new 2015 RT - yesterday
Re: Ordered a new 2015 RT - yesterday
Some photos taken from my new RT, showing the LED lights, Bike2Bike antenna mount and the weather kit
You can also see the peg lowering-kit mounted. Gives me about 20mm more knee room

And you have filled in the holes in the frame. Are you still missing the GTL ?

Well - it's two totally different animals - and not easy to compare.RTman10 wrote: And you have filled in the holes in the frame. Are you still missing the GTL ?
But - yes I miss the engine
I only have a few 1000 km, but find it to be a nice bike.
It will take me a year to really decide ^-^

What is the bike2bike antenna? Is it a 440mhz or something for Ham?
Curious for a link since it looks almost stock.

It's for my Midland G8- 446Mhz unit.Thorvald wrote: What is the bike2bike antenna? Is it a 440mhz or something for Ham?

Modified to have 3Watt output - and with the external antenna - works like a "pro" 8)
The antenna is made by me. A BMW antenna mount/foot - and modified to fit a Kathrein antennae pisk.
Re: Ordered a new 2015 RT - yesterday
I have now these 3 months about 14.000 km on a variety of roads and conditions, but mostly loaded and two up.
I will give the RT 9 out of 10 - and that is not bad to be me ^-^
The only thing I still struggles with are some hesitation/vibrations in the 2.500 4.000 rpm range.
I’m quite confident it’s all about to lean fuel mixture.
Will probably make me a “Performance Controller" as this one : http://www.wunderlich.de/shop/en/perfor ... .html if WL is not coming up with a version for the 2014/15 model this winter.
Absolutely everything else is working perfect after my taste, and specially now with the “Bar Back” from iliumworks. (Don’t look to nice/integrated, but do work :-) )
The suspension can’t keep up with a full day in the Alps - fully loaded, but that is not something new from BMW. Will be fixed during the winter,
The transmission is one of the best I have had (The Honda ST1100 wasn’t that bad either )
Still missing some of the torque from K1600, but can learn to live with the RT characteristics.
Even more stable than the K1600 in speeds up to 200km/h, but find that the bike is doing best around 180-190km/h.
Would like to have the 1’ gear a bit lower - as the bike is doing 20/25 km/h at idle speed, and that is to fast for slow crawling traffic - without the need to use the clutch.
The GS911 WiFi is working nicely on the bike.
btw: Some new 3000 lumen LED’s on order :-)
I think this is the first bike I have had (last 40 years) that I don't have the feeling that I really have to modify. (Except fueling and handle bars)

I was enjoying Stelyn giving is view and then Richardbd came spoilt it by telling me it's blue, why oh why do you sound so passionate about a bike and buy a blue one? Only kidding its late and I'm on my own. I just caught a large Mantis on my bedroom wall really interesting creature, I did let it go after I took some pics.
