2014 RT left hand switchgear

Post by jjwill »

My cruise control switch has had to be replaced last week as the switch would not engage.  Vines have replaced.  I have noticed that the indicator switch now has a much firmer feel to it.

Mine failed within weeks of owning my new 2014RT. This is the actual ON/OFF slide switch.
Was replaced and no more problems so far.
But I just don't use the slide switch anymore as there is just no point. I leave the slide switch now always in the ON position and use the engage toggle switch only.

There are known problems with the switches. You guys have fairly new bikes and are under warranty. Use the switches the way they were designed to be used, if they fail BMW will change them at no charge to you. Better to know that what you have works than be afraid to touch anything because it might fail.
