Have finished my old mini-project started earlier in another thread
1 No speakers, empty space
[attachimg=2]
2 Two modified plastic boxes + homemade brackets
[attachimg=3]
3 Bolted in the same holes as the speaker
[attachimg=4]
4 Speaker grill opened
[attachimg=5]
5 Speaker grill closed
[attachimg=6]
Result, additional extra storage compartments for various stuff
Additional compartment behind speaker grill

Re: Additional compartment behind speaker grill
Let me be the first in line to buy a pair, I've been hoping a genius would step forward and produce a much wanted modification
Thank you in advance

Re: Additional compartment behind speaker grill
Great work, does the speaker grill just pop off for access to the cavity?

1. Thanks for your credits 2. “things to keep in there…” hmm..for my part I think the need arose before the idea ;-)
Jim;
Sorry, this prototype was for me just another stimulating DIY project and I have no ambition to start any production.
Function OK for me but who knows, maybe you will someday find this modification in a more professional design from some other source with better production possibilities and more eager to do business and profit
Badger;
The grill is held in the grove of the frame by the two remaining tabs and the lock/switch
The two bent tabs works as hooks and the opposite side is held by a modified channel selector Switch with click function which means fixed positions for the lock plate between upright and 90° to the right

Re: Additional compartment behind speaker grill
I have the speakers (which I never use, prefer speakers in helmet) ... this makes me wish I didn't ... excellent idea and solution !
