As we are out in the Yorkshire Dales most of today, on my way home, I might call into the Manor Café at Bellerby for their Wednesday Bike Night, http://www.manor-cafe.co.uk/

Spent the whole day up there myself, it was stunning so clear and not much traffic just a few bikes whizzing about, perhaps a little more notice next time would have liked to meet up for a brew and a chat.
Pic of my one and only stop, for fuel. 8)
cheers

Re: North of England 20th April Rideout
Glad you had a good day, sorry to have missed it but hopefully bike will be fixed in quick time. Taking up David's point about future rides, I would be happy to organise something based in the Peak District about which I have local knowledge and could put a decent ride together away from the grockle spots and 50 mph limits. I'm sure others could do the same based on their local knowledge. From little acorns..... you never know.
With our motorway network an hour or two's blast can get you a long way for a weekend meet.

Today was a case in point, Mark headed North from Halifax to join me in the Yorkshire Dales.k9doc wrote:Taking up David's point about future rides, I would be happy to organise something based in the Peak District about which I have local knowledge and could put a decent ride together away from the grockle spots and 50 mph limits. As Mark has already posted, "Been on some roads I've not been on before."
I'd be more than happy to consider jumping on a Motorway to meet up for a guided tour of areas I don't know very well.
If necessary an overnight stop or two could be included, e.g the Centre of GB trip in June.
