I have a 1200RT and I was wondering, has anyone placed their EZ Pass in one of the side bags and have it work?  I've heard about people having them in their glove compartments in their cars and they work, so you would think the signal would go through plastic right?

Mine works fine from inside the upper compartment in the dash. I also have no problem with it in a tailbag or tank bag, but I have not tried from inside a saddel bag.
