does the bike need to be on the center stand or side stand when calibrating the rear esa on a '11 r1200rt?

I've always done my K12GT on the main stand as I figure it's going to be "easier" on the servo motors

From experience with a much older 2005 RT with the first type of ESA (rather than ESA2), I can thoroughly recommend upgrading to the latest release of chassis software. This can only be done at a dealer.
On my bike it changed the upper and lower limit points of suspension adjustment, thereby avoiding jamming the ESA after changing from two-up to solo.
