GPS Steering head mount touratech

Post by Sky Bear »

I recently saw this gps mount on a paramedic R1200RTP. I can not identify the mount that is being used to connect the locking touratech bracket to the bike head. Can anyone suggest a manufacturer or part no? I much prefer the gps mounted here than on top of the instrument cluster.

Thanks.

It looks like the BMW handlebar mount, part no. 71 60 7 687 853.

Thank you kindly sir, it does indeed. I shall enquire of my local dealer when in there next week.

Just a word of warning. I have just fitted the Touratech yoke mounting with their waterproof case for my TomTom 520. Went out today and couldn't see any detail on the screen due to glare on a sunny day.  So will only not get lost on cloudy days and nights.  If I angle it down too much only my crotch will be able to navigate. . Doesn't help wearing a reflective jacket. Seemed like a good idea at the time.
