Trip meters won't reset to zero

Post by mhr43 »

2015 rt1200-lc.
Just tried to reset trips 1 & 2 to zero  by pushing multi-controller to the right, but nothing happens. also noticed that the auto trip has failed to zero itself after the usual 8 hours.  Before i make an appointment at the dealer, can anyone offer a suggestion as to what may be wrong?  Other uses of the multi-controller appear to work normally.

Push and hold. It seems to take a few seconds.

Been so long since I reset mine I forgot where the display was.  But yes select on the wheel then push right for a second or two.  Works with the engine running or not.

Thank you MacJ and RTman 10.

Just retried setting trips. Did exactly as I have done before many times (pushing and holding the multi-controller) and it worked! Beginning to wonder if there was/is a fault, or whether it was caused by a 'senior moment'!!

Senior moments.  Can't remember what they are.

I "think" the auto trip is 6 hours not 8
