Gasoline is 6.183 pounds per gallon.

Ah - but that raise two problems...

1.  How much does a pound weigh in new money?

2.  Whose gallon - yours or ours?

What's to formula US to proper.  Can't be much more than a gallon difference in a tank.

Petrol weighs about .74 kg per litre so 25 lit tank approx 19 kg. Specific gravity is less than water :) .

That explains why bikes exported to the US do 20% less to the gallon.

You are obviously in denial mode and you know full well they were stop gap models with a borrowed engine. All down to the extended development time of the LC .
And the borrowed tuned down engine fitted to the TC is the best engine they ever built.

One of the reasons they threw it away and started again.  When they run out of bits they will probably stop using it in the Nine T.

Be careful. Put US gallons into a UK tank and they don't fit properly.  Next post will be to ask about a mysterious rattling noise.
