Tom Tom bandit

Post by Cas21 »

Hi Folks
Just treated myself to a Tom Tom bandit and I am looking for best mounting point ideas.
Don't like the idea of looking like a Dalek and sticking it to my lid. Previously my good lady pillion used a wrist mounted set up with an sj4000 wannabe go pro
Final question. How do I get the sticky mounting plate off the bike and has anyone damaged their paintwork doing it
Thanks

You can remove the sticky mounts using a hair dryer carefully warming it,  bit by bit you can peel the mount off with no damage

Yup...hair dryer or heat gun (on LOWEST setting, used carefully)...plus I use dental floss, working it back and forth under the plate like a rope saw.

Same technique works for removing BMW roundels...
