Will the 49ltr top box fitted to a 2015 K1600GT fit 2010 R1200RT?

Yes. As the small OEM top box which I have owned since 2009 fitted my 1600 it must work the other way round as well. The 1600GTL one though is no good as the back rest is far too large and reduces the pillion space.

Going thru alternatives and your small box option has got me thinking. Seen a 2013 F800 28 ltr - looks compatible ? What's your thoughts.

This will indeed fit. When I picked my F800 GT up I found I couldn't open the top box. The dealer realised he'd fitted the one for an RT to mine and my box was on the RT. Easy mistake I suppose?

The small box has been around for years and a long time before the 800 turned up. It's all I ever use these days. It's a sturdy bit of kit and takes most helmets. No central looking option of course.

Thanks for photos - great help.

If you used it two up. Was the pillion ok with the arrangement?

More so than with the big one, it's easier to get on and off. They do a back rest for it as well but we never bothered with it as it's quite comfortable as it is.
