Hi. New to the RT so excuse the lame question. Maybe being a touch idle in not looking any further than here but on my R1200RT 2005/6 I have a power take off on the lefthand top panel. The fitting looks unique to BMW but would like to use it for charging by Bluetooth head set ect. Any tips on where and what adaptor.
Many Thanks
Power take off socket.

I do not use this brand but I use this type. It works fine and I use a lot on the road.

Don't know where you are but in UK an adaptor to make the socket the normal size is readily available.

Nippy Norman sell a really good double USB plug. I have two of them.

I had bought others that did not grip the socket very well. I was always having to reposition them to work. The one from Nippy's is quality

I have one from Nippy Normans that has a standard accessory socket on the other end (cable is about 6 inches long). I bought it for my F800 ST which I owned between 2008 and 2010. The cable and connectors are still going strong so I can attest to the longevity of the product. I don't use it much these days - the RT already has pretty much everything on it that I need - but would expect to make use of it if I go touring to charge the 'brick' that I then use overnight to charge my phone etc.

I hope it's gold plated for that price

Here in Australia, an electronics hobby chain Jaycar have those plugs and sockets and adapters to the normal cigarette lighter plug at low prices.
It's called a Powerlet or Merit plug/socket.
