Hello all, I just bought a 2016 RT today and I had a question about the "Red Exclamation Point Triangle" light flashing at startup. Is that normal... Part of the ABS/Systems check?
Thanks

Re: Indicator lights at startup
It's normal. Should go out as soon as you move off. It's all in the manual.
Re: Indicator lights at startup
Amber warnings x 2 as opposed to red??As you say, extinguish as you pull away.
Re: Indicator lights at startup
Normal start-up I get a red warning triangle and two amber ones. The red one goes away after a couple of seconds, the two amber ones as soon as the wheels have completed a couple of rotations. So what you are describing seems perfectly normal.

or it's the second example of the same fault...
Re: Indicator lights at startup
Cynic.
It's possible but I think unlikely. Having read through the manual the red triangle is the 'general warning indicator' which should always come on with another indicator to show the specific fault. I don't get any additional indicator and it goes away as soon as the bike has started. Looks to me like it is just part of the start-up routine.
Any other owners with 2017 MY model bikes want to chip in with their experience?
