I use mine for navigation, particularly to addresses that are sent in messages (that'd take frustratingly long to enter into the Nav V).  Also for music.  Y'all who insist on stuffing it away know that it has a Do Not Disturb function, right?  It does not have to be a distraction.

If you'll look at your handlebars you'll discover a couple of places where you have the liberty to drill a hole and tap it for the 1/4x20 threads that are available on a 1" RAM ball that is meant to be screwed onto a tripod.  I've done that on the K16 and the R1200RT.  A little loctite blue will keep it from wandering out.  I like the solution posted earlier, just have a different one myself.

If you have the factory LED aux lights, you might find that part number 32728534367, the clamp for the switch assembly, offers an ideal location (if you want your phone to the left).  I bought an extra in case I screwed this up, then drilled a hole straight through the top of it, tapped it for 1/4x20, and screwed in the RAM ball.  If you don't have the LED Aux lights there is an equivalent part number, I think.

Then you can add any of their 1" accessories.  I use a medium-length arm and an iPhone 6/6s cradle.

For whatever it's worth, I've logged a lot of miles in California with this rig, and not had it questioned by the police.  It's low and to the left, where they want it, and they can see that what's on the screen is not about some ditz trying to text-and-drive.

Reminds me of Homer Simpson's car which had a pop corn machine and a fax machine, they would fit on a RAM mount!

The popcorn maker saved me about 20 minutes in traffic this morning, as the Nav V isn't fitted with AI-backed real time traffic awareness and re-routing, but the popcorn maker is.  Or maybe that's the fax machine?  ;)

Interesting, food for thought.
Is it just me, or does anyone else see the irony in the police enforcing this legislation when they appear to have more distractions than other drivers / riders on our roads ?

Is irony the same as sarcasm ? 😊
I Hope I never have to have a conversation with a police officer about not being "in control" of my vehicle.

Or use hand signals, or adjust the mirrors, or adjust the volume on the communicator etc. ?  🙂

I'll just blame 'The Voices' if I get pulled.  Usually works.

Quite pleased with this that I got from Normski. Very well made and £28 posted including the modified RAM ball.

Ram mount motorcycle brake perch/clutch reservoir base $14.49 works great and easy to install.
