Easter Weekend in Derbyshire

Post by guest2360 »

Local TV have just announced that for this weekend Derbyshire Police will be running a safety campaign for motorcyclist.  They will be targeting irresponsible and dangerous riders.  That translates as all of us so round every corner expect to find a van with a camera sticking out of it.

I saw an article the other day, showcasing an RT being used as a static speed trapper.

So it might not be a van you need to look out for.

Don't Derbyshire have a bikesafe setup, this works by getting bikers onside rather than alienating them. they get a day with a couple of police bikers and an assessment ride. We have this down south and it is a great success.

Good job I got my ride in yesterday (sneaked through Buxton when they weren't looking)
So when is this “old enough to know better” supposed to kick in?

My best mate lives near Burton, so love coming up North to visit on the bike, some great roads in that neck of the woods.
