Blanking covers for audio

Post by michaelc2710 »

Has anyone utilised the audio blanks in the N/S fairing cover for anything?

Yes

Filled them with latch buttons for my accessories.  Controls power to aux marker lights, cameras and two way.  I have a fuse panel behind the speaker blank and that is cabled to the switches before going to the accessories. Power source to the fuse unit is via a relay.

Used 12v 22mm thread SPDT 5pin locking push button switches from Amazon they are not waterproof  but so far no problems  just a little WD40  every now and then

Had to be a bit careful with the fixing  the locking rings overlap  so had to cut then down a little with a Dremel  made the into a D shape

thanks for the idea's exportman.

Have you taken a direct supply from the battery for the relay with a switch feed from the ignition circuit?
