1200rt 2005 (servo) Advice, GS911, Servive gap, etc!

Hi, oh most wise BMW guru's!
I have had the RT 1200 2005 for a few weeks now, (already been done speeding) and absolutely loving it, I have received surprising and finally the service book from Cannon BMW, that servicing stops at 25k mileage. I bought at 32k ! I can't assume what the last owner did service wise! But each service in the book had the brake service ticked.
Now this is where my self worries start again:
Is there a way of telling/checking if the brake fluid has been done/flushed! This might include a GS911?
If I was to purchase a GS911, can it tell when it was last flushed? Sounds daft
If I purchase a 911 is it easy to do? And does anyone here do there own SERVO maintenance? Do you know how it's done?
If one does, is it easy to do? I have heard it easy but time consuming! Like all bmw bits lol.
And lastly I think! I am Manchester, Huddersfield bought bike, located (Stalybridge) If none of the above is possible yet, or it scares me lol how much will it cost to just do the servo flush and fluid change, (peace of mind) and most importantly is there any recommendations to who will not rip me off!

I'm no guru, but I'm on my 4th RT.
Not what you want to hear maybe, but my advice would be to take the bike to a BMW dealer to get the service schedule up to date. You will be advised what is required and you get a worthwhile stamp in the service book. They're expensive, but I find them value for money (although all my experience of dealers has been in Scotland).

True. Doing the fluid change is time consuming but if you follow the service manual steps, it isn't really difficult.  You will need the way overpriced funnel or it's possible to make your own.


My advice would be to make sure the change is done whether you do it or have it done. 
I bought a 2005 and the ABS servo immediately crapped out.  It's a $2,500 replacement part.  I did an ABS brake-ectomy, and don't miss the whizzy brakes at all.

Play with the servo system at your peril.  Anything else on the bike, no problem, but changing the brake fluid, no chance.  Lots will tell you it's easy.  It ain't and get it wrong it's s trailer job to a dealer.

Cheers chaps, I am confident with most of the other servicing, the shop serviced it, plugs, oil and filters, prior to puschasing, but they are not a service shop, only on the bikes they sell, and will stamp the book up!
I was thinking its was right to get it in somewhere, just need to find a good service shop, apparently there is a good shop near Honley Huddersfield ! I suppose I was reluctant to take it to Williams Manchester! Because I only need the fluid change flush, suppose I can ask!
Any ideas on price it might cost, just in case I need to sell body parts to pay for it Cheers Dave,RT and gogs.

Would suggest selling body parts will,only be necessary if you don't have the system properly serviced.  The servo hadn't been used now for 11 years so the best of luck finding a non BMW shop who would know what it needs.

Bit far for you to travel but I've got an excellent independent BMW service centre near me (Hertfordshire),check out Motoscott.co.uk and feel free to give Steve a call there. He knows all there is to know about those pesky servo's. He even set-up a repair service for them. But whilst he was able to get the seals manufactured he could not find a reliable manufacture for the 8 electronic switches each unit contains so had to can the idea.

I go to a independent guy in York with my RT 05,,, funnily enough we where talking about the brakes on my last vist... it seemed no real issue to him with them ...can be repaired ,or perhaps taken out completely ,,he ,s done loads..he used to run the Met bike repair shop... if you want his email ,,pm  me
