July 2017 - Northern Monkeys Meet
So far in 2017, the Northern Monkeys have had a monthly (day) ride out in April, May & June. In July, there is the Tewkesbury weekend (8th) & the Haggis Run 31st July to 2nd August.
Weather permitting & if there is sufficient interest, I'd consider leading a day ride out on Saturday 22nd July, (with Sunday 23rd as an alternative).
This date sits nicely between the two mini tours & maintains the monthly day ride out.
I appreciate that we are now probably entering the main holiday season & folks may not be available.
Is having a day ride in July appealing to anyone, just floating the idea atm.
If anyone else would like to offer to plan & lead a ride out on the same or another date in July, that's fine with me.

July 2017 - Northern Monkeys Meet
Thanks for your reply Chris, enjoy the Speedway.
It's not going to be easy to pick a date which suits the majority of folks, at a push, I'd consider the 15th or 16th July.David. wrote:If anyone else would like to offer to plan & lead a ride out on another date in July, that's fine with me.

Re: July 2017 - Northern Monkeys Meet
Was thinking of doing something on the 15th (maybe the Dentdale run) as I'm away the w/e 22nd. However family stuff at the moment means I'm reluctant to commit too far in advance but should things pan out ok, I'd be happy to join you on the 15th. That route is already in the bank so not too much hassle on the planning side. Happy to do another Peak District 'tour' at some time although as previously discussed, hard to do the PD justice without an overnight stop so that's for another time.

If you can do the 15th, then I will too, let's see who, if anyone else, is available and when.k9doc wrote:Was thinking of doing something on the 15th as I'm away the w/e 22nd.
Dentdale would be fine with me, I'm sure we'll have an alternative should it be necessary based on the weather forecast.k9doc wrote:Maybe the Dentdale run.

I'm in Wales 14th to 16th. I've only got the weekend of the 22nd/23rd available and that's looking like I'll be grounded
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)

Hope you've made arrangements with Paggers, we need someone to take the photos & shoot the video.simbo wrote:I'm in Wales 14th to 16th. I've only got the weekend of the 22nd/23rd available and that's looking like I'll be grounded.
Re: July 2017 - Northern Monkeys Meet
It looks like I'm free for the 15th (not had an official pass yet but I'll check in later). I may just do the first two legs (green and blue) then head back from there but I'll see how I feel on the day.

That's just fine Niall, to start with, you have a long trek from Warrington to Wetherby, can't fault your commitment.Paggers wrote:I may just do the first two legs (green and blue) then head back from there but I'll see how I feel on the day.
(If you depart from Hawes, at that point, you can hand over the photo/video duties to Michael.)
On this one, I'll probably "bail out" at Stump Cross Caverns, the P stop on the red route.

Looks like you are not very far from the start/finish at Morrisons Café, Wetherby, hope you can make it.diver15 wrote:New to forum but possible for the 15th.
