When I was a little 'un my mother used to give me sound advice: to try not to say things to people unless they meet at least two of the following criteria:
  • Is it kind?
  • Is it necessary?
  • Is it true?
I have always found her advice useful as I find that making friends is often more important than being right. Not that I'm perfect - far from it (as I'm sure Casbar can attest).
