I did read something about the SatNav being built into the display in the new upcoming GS. That definitely sounds like an interesting feature.

Yup and know doubt the maps can only be updated by BMW. I bet it will be difficult if not impossible to upload a route that you have created making it a point and shoot only navigation. My BMW mini has a built in SatNav. Looks good but bloody useless.

From what I read the new dash does contain sat nav but only via a phone app but it's a basic set up, i.e. it's arrows only so they still recommend the Navigator to get full mapping

Are you suggesting it could be the first application of MirrorLink http://www.mirrorlink.com/
(or Android Auto/CarPlay) on a bike?
