SPEED BLEEDERS

Post by T6pilot »

if you do your own maintenance and haven’t switched to speed bleeders, your not in the twenth century. Installed some on my 15 this morning, brake flush and install 45 minutes, best part the cost was less than $20, only downside is Bmw uses three different size bleeders on my bike

Wondered why front left wouldn’t take 6 or 7 mm wrench, good call

Best money I have spent on my '14 RT! Especially coming from an '04 RT and servicing that brake system, doing the '14 with the speed bleeders seems.....almost too easy!

I use something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealey-Vacuum- ... um+bleeder

You just pump a vacuum in the bottle using the hand pump and then open the bleed nipple to suck the fluid out.  Works a treat.  You can get the same kit cheaper on ebay tho.
