Aftermarket grips

Post by temesvar »

Owner of a 2008 RT with heated grips and cruise control. The grips on this bike are the biggest I have
had, not to mention they are the ugliest to date!( just my opinion..) Have managed to change grips on
previous bikes with stylish aftermarket grips like Rizoma. However with my present bike that looks like
not a simple task. Am willing to give up the heated grips, as I find that of no great help, since I need the
heat on the outside, not at the palms. For that are heated gloves!
Didn't get the chance to open up the assemblies to see what I have to deal with.
Wonder if anyone has done or thinking of doing this mod!

Actually temesvar, I make a really nifty solution for motorcycle hand comfort that may work for you. Email me at drepper1@nycap.rr.com, and I will share the details with you. Also, this solution works well with your existing heated grips, and is not expensive.

Best,

Hi Dave! First response on my thread in over a week!
Adirondack, Lake Placid, Appalachians I intend to visit this year.
I suppose where your nick comes from. Am open for suggestions.
But by the beginning of this season, I intend to have a set of Rizoma's
on my bike! :kacsint2:
