Is There A South Coast 500 Or Something Similar?
NC500 is a bit far from me (living in the south)
How about a SC500 or SC600?
Could be fun to set something up
I was born with nothing and unfortunately I still have most of it left.

Probably not - but defo make the time to do the NC500 or any other routes in Scotland, you won’t regret it. Give yourself at least 6 or 7 days. Get North of Leeds then get off the damn motorway. We / I usually head North via Scotch Corner and the A68 but come home down the spine of the country. There are some superb routes via the Pennines and into the Yorkshire Dales. For me it keeps the motorway riding down to 100 miles or so each end!

Could have a look at the SWC300, https://www.visitsouthwestscotland.com/ ... tal-route/, not a far North or as many miles as the NC500.

planning to do the NC500 in April over 6 days starting from Birmingham. Plan is to get up to Perth on first day, Wick on second, probably Ullapool day 3, Applecross day 4. then head south over the final 2 days. Any tips would be really appreciated.

From the info. on the NC500 Website, I created a BaseCamp Route & did it in 2016.

GPS routes for the NC500 are available online from the "Ride" magazine website.
https://www.ride.co.uk/routes-1/ride-guide-to-great-britain-2017
They have a clockwise and anti-clockwise route

We did this at one point, to make it a bit different we went via Holyhead-Dublin and Belfast - Cairnryan just to save the motorway slog. Much nicer riding through Wales and Ireland and only an extra £90 for the ferriesDavid. wrote: Could have a look at the SWC300, https://www.visitsouthwestscotland.com/ ... tal-route/, not a far North or as many miles as the NC500.
