OK, so this is the third time I've washed by RT, around once a month or so. When I bought it I waxed it, applied GT85 and Waxoyl to varous bits and it looks great.
I've learned some places hold the dirt, all on th eexhaust:
- the flattish 'bar' that connects the 2 pipes under the engine
- the 'tube' that connects the 2 pipes near the front of the system
- the inaccessible bit behind the plate on the off side towards the rear.
- the top shiny fat part of the main box which seems to have bits of sand stuck to it - not much, but can feel it on my finger tips.
Question: how do you get deal with these areas, and are there any other bits to check that I haven't noticed?
Cleaning the difficult bits
Re: Cleaning the difficult bits
Yes, they are not easy areas to keep clean. I use a flexible toothbrush with Solvol Autosol.
So when is this “old enough to know better” supposed to kick in?
Re: Cleaning the difficult bits
Thanks for this advice Taz. I did wonder about using some GT85 but I'll give your suggestion a go.
