Nice ride out....
....in the sunny Peak District yesterday. Beautiful views, dry roads mainly and not too many people. Anyone else manage to get out?
Chris
Re: Nice ride out....
Yes had a ride across to Pidcocks, Long Eaton, about 60 miles there and 50 back. Out via the back lanes around Whittington and Bredon on the Hill past Castle Donnington. Had a bit of a shower but otherwise very pleasant. A good day in the winter is greatk9doc wrote: ....in the sunny Peak District yesterday. Beautiful views, dry roads mainly and not too many people. I was a bit late getting back and picked up a lot of Friday afternoon traffic leading to a fair bit of filtering.

Re: Nice ride out....
You are right about that, grand little bike. Had a DL1000 which took me through the Pyrenees and up into France and lots of other places. I thought that was a good bike, but I think this is even better especially as you say for the twisty narrow roads. It's ok cruising on the motorway as well, not RT refinement, but good enough for me.simbo wrote: I bet the V-Strom is perfectly suited for the Peak District Chris no bike time for me unfortunately :-( busy keeping the wheels of industry turning :-\
Appreciate your keeping the wheels turning as we OAPs are depending on you.

Re: Nice ride out....
A couple of not very good photos from today's ride. Temperature readings of 15-17 Celsius at times. Very pleasant 120 miles indeed.
Any ideas?

Re: Nice ride out....
@simbo Correct
@mhr43 Spot on, too easy.
I think the Vale of Belvoir has some of the best biker roads in the area. Mostly National Limit with very little traffic or Police presence. Ideal combination.

I agree. It is my home turf. However, I don't quite agree with you on Police presence. 3 points +£100 suggests otherwise !!!!!

Re: Nice ride out....
Should we start a 'guess the location' thread? Try and bring the forum together in a more sociable manner rather than being a bit BMW robotic style?
Where's this? I just took the day off work and drifted off riding down there for the day Lovely Steak Pie Chips n Peas by the way
