Would be good to know where to avoid or be cautious as the 2018 annual meet ride out is nearby, https://1200rt.com/viewtopic.php?t=1mhr43 wrote:I agree. It is my home turf. However, I don't quite agree with you on Police presence. 3 points +£100 suggests otherwise!

Re: Nice ride out....
Looks like a good mix of bikes in there.
What's the location in the top photo? or are you putting it in the 'Guess the location' thread. Spent a wee while cleaning my bike today after our last outing, looks like you'll be doing the same. Well worth it to get out though.
PS. Didn't see the 'Any ideas where?' bit. Give us a clue, who's the statue of?

Re: Nice ride out....
I myself started a "guess the location" thread on the now defunct and excellent BM Rider Forum and very successful it was too. Mind you that was in the days before "photo bucket" made it a lot more difficult to up-load pics.

Wantage. Stayed near there for the night when doing the Ride of Respect at Wootton Bassett a few years ago, It seemed more suitable (matching my pay grade) to staying at Faringdon Hall (Sudbury House now) where we stayed a year earlier They charged me 'just £11 sir' for filling my Thermos flask with coffee ???
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)
