Oxford Boss alarm disc lock (x2)
I was born with nothing and unfortunately I still have most of it left.

Am sure that can happen, and that is when the motion activated alarm comes in for use.k9doc wrote: Had an Oxford 385 D lock. Once forgot to remove it from the front wheel of a Goldwing when leaving Chipping Norton car park. Didn't end well but surprisingly less difficult than anticipated to put back the right way up.
I find it as a good device, yet way to heavy.

This would have been back in the 20th Century. No such gizmos then although did have an electric starter button.temesvar wrote: Am sure that can happen, and that is when the motion activated alarm comes in for use.

I use an Abus Granit Detecto X Plus 8077. It has a motion detector alarm. I count on the alarm to remind me that it's there so I don't try to ride off with it still on the disc. I don't pretend that it's going to attract attention to scare off thieves as it's fairly easy to silence. But several times, I've gotten into the boxes to get out my helmet and it reminded me that it's there. Cheap insurance and I don't have to carry around one of those orange springy things. It chirps to remind me if the the battery gets low.
