Have you checked your spark plugs since fitting it? Just to see if its running lean or not? Has it affacted the low down torque due to the lack of back pressure? Looks good

Following the change of muffler, would the Oxygen sensors take care of the mixture?simbo wrote:Have you checked your spark plugs since fitting it? Just to see if its running lean or not?

The ECU can make 'minor' adjustments to the fuelling from the information it receives from the various sensors. Removing the silencer isn't usually classed as a minor adjustment David. wrote: Following the change of muffler, would the Oxygen sensors take care of the mixture?

Looks a perfect fit, including re-using the original clamp, what is the ID of the exhaust tip.Zapata wrote:Is just a exhaust tip that I got from the Autoparts store.

The oxygen sensor is there to keep the mixture lean for emissions purposes and already keeps it leaner than optimal for power and performance. In addition, they usually only operate in the lower half of the rev range and under certain throttle conditions.

I just installed last night and have not had a chance to test it.

the header ID is 6.35cm, the exhaust tip is like 6.50cm. it was a very tight fit.

Negative. The flapper was not removed. I think the flapper valve will take care of the leaning or back pressure. Please correct me if I am wrong.
