Aftermarket exhaust?
Will the Akrapovic or Remus muffler make the bike run leaner? Do you need to perform any other modifications when you install an aftermarket exhaust?
- 2012 R1200RT (0440), 2011 HD Softail Fatboy and 2006 HD V-ROD VRSCR Streetrod.

No, the ECU can handle it fine. If you change the headers as well, you should have a remap.

Got a Akrapovic on mine and does sound a lot better and i seem to get a extra mile or two to the gallon. Just fit and ride mate. Dave

Is the Akrapovic the straight trough type? Can you see the opening from one side to the other?
