Have had 6 BMW's but always fancied a RT. I have in the past bought new but at around £17000 new found that rather a lot. Looked for months for a well kept RT. Wasn't bothered if it was a twincam or LC. Condition was first, mileage second.
My previous bike was a r1200r (2011) so the change was quite significant. My wife approved :-* as she occasionally rides pillion. The seat height for her was good. The heated seat was also a bonus for her.
I use the bike for touring and have my next tour of Spain booked. This should be the ideal bike for this trip.
I have been a subscriber to the GS users site since 2012 but thought this site may be more suitable.

Re: Newbie
Welcome and hope you have plenty of miles and smiles
So when is this “old enough to know better” supposed to kick in?

Welcome to the forum.
Good choice of bike - my wife wouldn't want to get on the back of anything else now ..... ;D
